Elite Moisture Solutions of Durham was called to this inspection due to the customer’s concern about visible mold growth and elevated moisture levels inside the home. The customer shared that the home had recently experienced water damage due to a leak in the second floor bathroom. The customer also shared that a qualified restoration company was called to address the water loss. The inspector found evidence that the water damage restoration was not completed correctly. The inspector identified water staining and mold growth under the laminate flooring that was removed during the inspection.

As part of the Elite’s Durham mold remediation process, the team removed all damaged flooring throughout the first floor of the property, hand cleaned all surfaces with an antimicrobial solution and HEPA vacuums, and placed air scrubbers throughout the first floor to remove mold particles in the air. A post air test was performed to confirm that the project was successful and to provide the homeowner with peace of mind.

Elite Moisture Solutions of Durham was called to this inspection with concern of elevated moisture parameters. Air quality and swap samples were performed prior to this inspection. Elevated microbial levels were found in several areas throughout the basement and first floor. Upon inspection of the basement, moisture damaged sheet-rock, and base trim was found. Moisture content samples were elevated and ranging between 42-100% in organic and porous materials (normal moisture content is below 18%). The inspector suggested the property be placed under negative air pressure, contaminated sheet-rock and trim be removed, contaminated carpet be removed, all interior surfaces be hand cleaned with an antimicrobial solution, and the entire property be fogged with an antimicrobial solution. After the work was completed, the inspector went back to conduct a post remediation inspection to confirm the job was completed successfully.

				After shopping around for mold removal companies to treat my crawlspace, I finally found Elite Moisture and I'm happy I did!  They were professional, timely, and reasonably priced.  One of the major differences between them and the competition is their methods.  While most other companies offered to spray the mold, elite treats and vacuums away the mold for complete removal of allergens.  They were very responsive and thorough.

				I originally reached out to EMS as a 3rd candidate for a quote to encapsulate my crawlspace. 				I moved into an old farmhouse that had some obvious mold issues in the crawl space. After their representative came out to assess the problem I made a few more calls for estimates. Even getting to schedule a different company to come out was a nightmare. Elite Moisture was a very smooth experience from estimate to getting the work done. What my point of contact was saying as far as how to treat the mold, made sense to me as someone that doesn't work in the field. Project was sectioned in two parts to ensure mold was obliterated before reinsulating. I had some other questions that office and field staff were very happy to help with. The product that was used to treat the mold has a 30 year warranty which was extremely appealing. Overall it was a great experience so far. I would definitely recommend them.

				This company did a great job for me. They cleaned up the mold, removed old insulation, installed new insulation & dehumidifier and made my crawlspace to work efficiently to keep out the moisture and stay dry. I could not be more pleased! Plus every guy they sent out was polite and did good work to get my crawlspace up to snuff. Thanks guys!!

				We have worked with soo many companies on our old farmhouse (1955), and this is the only company we have been 100% happy with so far. From Kaya, Chris, to Ben and crew, we have been happy with the work, and communication. We had mold remediation, then they also worked closely with our engineer for foundation repair. We are impressed with their above and beyond detailed work. Companies who worked on the house after them has commented how amazing a job they did.

				Our crawlspace was in desperate need of attention with standing water constantly collecting after heavy rainstorms. I called Elite for a quote and on the same day, Chris shows up and provides an estimate before he left my house! Based on his knowledge of mold remediation, sump pumps and french drains, and his incredible professionalism - we booked him for the job. His crew was on time every day, and gave a detailed description of what would be accomplished that day and they always came through. 				Elite performed mold removal and crawlspace encapsulation. They were easy to work with and did a great job. The one negative in the experience was the unexpected cost of reinforcing some floor beams, which had water and mold damage that was not seen until they pulled out the insulation. Highly recommend this company!
